The ne<\/span>w\u00a0Chrome AI Skills feature\u00a0introduces a simpler way to reuse and manage AI prompts, marking a shift toward more structured everyday AI workflows. Google has rolled out this feature within Chrome, allowing users to save prompts used in Gemini and execute them again with a single click.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The feature addresses a common challenge in AI usage: prompt repetition. Users often refine prompts over time but struggle to recall or recreate them. With Skills, prompts can be saved, edited, and reused directly within the browser. By typing a forward slash or selecting from a menu, users can instantly apply a saved prompt to a new task, improving efficiency and consistency.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chrome AI Skills integrates with the Ask Gemini sidebar, where users interact with web content. This allows prompts to\u00a0operate\u00a0across multiple tabs, enabling uses such as\u00a0summarising\u00a0long documents, comparing products, or extracting insights from web pages. Early examples include prompts that calculate nutritional values,\u00a0analyse\u00a0product details, or generate structured comparisons.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google is also launching a pre-built library of Skills for common tasks. These templates can be\u00a0customised, allowing users to adapt them for specific needs.
